The included Conversion/fitting KIT allows for an easy connection of the WTC with the plastic model. It’s especially designed for the Trumpeter Soryu Class Attack Submarine model and most likely will not fit other models. The fitting kit also allows for a perfect alignment of the upper and lower hull.
Fitting Set for Soryu Class Attack Submarine consists of :

ATTENTION: This model requires the upper hull to be cut. It’s a difficult task, BUT ONLY if you don’t have the proper tools. If you don’t have a precise handsaw, we highly recommend our cutting set, which includes a very thin hand saw (0.36mm) and a special guiding rail for it. Then the task becomes stress free and very easy. You can use this KIT for your other projects in the future too. Just ask as about the saw and rail before or after the order.
With the sharp saw and our guiding rail for it, the cut line will be almost invisible. Check yourself on the photos below:

Rudders and dive planes for the conversion of the 1:144 Trumpeter Kilo.
The original “out of the box” planes and rudders which come with the Trumpeter Kilo model are decent with their size for quite decent maneuverability for your RC model, but are very hard to arrange and assemble correctly, if you want everything to move smoothly and be perfectly aligned.They were designed for a static model after all, not an RC one.
This set deals with all those problems as the Rudders and Dive planes are designed specially for RC. They’re also slightly bigger allowing even better maneuverability, yet they’re still in a identical shape and they fit the surface of the plastic hull nicely.
In addition the stern (back) dive planes have been designed with a little joint like in the original full size vessel. The Trumpeter dive planes don’t have this feature as they have been simplified.
The set includes:
- 2x bow (front) dive planes
- 2x aft (back) dive planes designed with a joint
- 1x lower rudder
This is not a fitting KIT, this setup includes only the planes and rudders for a Trumpeter Kilo.
Rudders and dive planes for the conversion of the 1:144 Trumpeter Seawolf.
The planes and rudders which come with the Trumpeter Seawolf model are a little to small if you want decent manoeuvrability in your RC model. This set deals with that problem as the Rudders and Dive planes are slightly bigger yet in a identical shape and they fit the surface of the plastic hull nicely.
In addition the stern (back) dive planes have been designed with a little joint like in the original full size vessel. The Trumpeter dive planes don’t have this feature as they have been simplified.
